In Switzerland, the French national team is preparing to compete in the Women's Euro 2020 for the eighth time. Three times quarter-finalists between 2009 and 2017, the French team have never done better than qualify for the semi-finals, in 2022. On Saturday, July 5 in Zurich (9 p.m.), they will face the reigning champions England for their first match. On Wednesday, June 25 in Clairefontaine (Yvelines), a few days before his first major international tournament as coach, Laurent Bonadei, former assistant to Hervé Renard, told Le Monde how he "prepared himself for many years to become number one."

What is the atmosphere like among the French team before the start of this Euro?

I feel a positive working atmosphere with committed players who respect, for the moment, everything we put in place. We are on a basis of confidence with the recent results obtained , which should allow us to surpass ourselves.
